In a context characterized by increasing complexity and interconnection among systems, the Department directs its actions toward enhancing the scientific knowledge developed and the educational pathways offered, in order to respond to the needs of the territory and society. The Department’s strategy is based on an integrated approach through:

• the initiation of dialogue with local, regional, national, and international institutions, the business system, and the third sector, in order to contribute to addressing societal challenges by promoting synergy among disciplinary fields and public engagement processes;
• the creation of territorial intelligence platforms and databases for the implementation of advanced analyses. Particular importance is attributed to the integration of quantitative methods and interdisciplinary approaches, with the aim of improving decision-making processes in complex contexts;
• support for the transfer of knowledge developed to the territory through targeted public engagement and capacity-building actions.
