The Department of Economics is a cultural and scientific environment, which, by enhancing the integration of different skills, contributes to basic research on economic systems and financial markets, and offers innovative teaching paths that form skills on the digitization of businesses, big data analysis, scenario formulation, organizational models connected to new technologies and market analysis.
The cultural project of the Department is based on the interdisciplinary nature of the economic, statistical and mathematical disciplines for economics that constitute its backbone. Despite the typical diversity of each scientific sector, the Department has a greater proximity between the disciplines that compose it than other research centers, and this favors dialogue, the generation of a stimulating environment for the realization of new ideas and collaboration. The Department was added by the Ministry of University and Research in the short list for the identification of departments of excellence in 2017 and in 2022.
The primary objective of the new department in the economic-quantitative field is in fact to strengthen the quality of research through quality recruitment, also by attracting researchers from the international scientific community.
The current training offer of the Department consists of:
- A Bachelor's degree in Economics;
